This Spanish copy of a Remington over/under derringer has a blade front sight, frame groove rear sight and a manual extractor. The top of the barrel is marked "Wexell & DeGress". The frame features a light scroll engraving and is fitted with scroll and border engraved metal bird head grips.

About good. The derringer retains scattered traces of original nickel finish with the balance a smooth bright gray patina with minor pitting overall. The engraving is weak. Action needs work as the hammer does not hold a full cock position.

The top of the barrel is marked "E. REMINGTON C. SONS ILION N.I. / ELLIIST PATENT 1818 C. 1862." and the right center rib is marked "12. M." Front sight integral with the barrel and a manual extractor is present. The sides of the frame and backstrap feature a scroll engraving on a punch dot background with a line border. The sides of the upper barrel feature a scroll floral engraved. Fitted with floral pattern embossed hard rubber bird head grips.

Very good. The derringer retains some frosted original nickel finish ahead and behind the trigger with the barrels and the remaining surfaces of the frame cleaned bright. There is some minor pitting on the barrels. The engraving remains clear and crisp. The undersized grips are fine with some minor scratches.
