Description:

Low fixed sights, with the breech plug marked "DERINGER" and the lock marked "C. ROBBINS". Scroll engraved lock and trigger with floral engraved fish sculpted hammer, bolster and upper tang. German silver forend cap, thumb shield and barrel wedge escutcheons. The grip area features checkering. Complete with wooden ramrod.

Rating Definition:

Good. The derringer has a smooth gray patina with some pin prick pitting on the barrel. The German silver is fine. The revarnished stock is good with a cracked forearm (left side) and some minor dings and scratches. The checkering is very good. Most of the varnish remains. The engraving is clear. The hammer is loose, otherwise action functions properly

Description:

There are no visible markings, except for the low one digit serial number on the frame under the left grip. Iron forearm, bag shaped grips, smooth bore barrel with worn down front sight, German silver trigger guard and wooden ramrod.

Rating Definition:

Good. The pistol has been cleaned bright with minor pitting overall. The German silver is fine. The grip panels are slightly undersized, otherwise fine with some minor dings and scratches.
