Colt Model 1908 Hammerless Semi-Automatic Pistol manufactured in 1923. The pistol has the Colt high polish blue finish on the slide and frame with vivid case colors on the trigger and grip safety. The pistol has black, checkered, hard rubber stocks embossed with the Rampant Colt trademark and "COLT" in a ribbon at the top. The six-shot magazine has a two-tone finish and is stamped "CAL.25/COLT" on the bottom of the floor plate. The right side of the slide is roll-stamped: "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 25" in two lines. The left side of the slide is marked with the Colt Hartford address in one line above the 1896-1917 patent dates and has the Rampant Colt trademark behind the grip serrations. The serial number, "387832" is stamped on the left side of the frame and the "8" assembler's mark and 'Triangle/VP" proofmark are stamped on the left side of the trigger guard bow. The cardboard carton has a deep purple top and sides. The pistol serial number, "387832", is written in pencil on the bottom of the carton. The carton has a blue end-label marked: "COLT AUTOMATIC PISTOL/ RIMLESS .25 SMOKELESS" in white print. The carton is complete with the original instruction sheet.

Excellent plus. The pistol retains 99% plus of the high polish blue finish with only traces of storage wear. The trigger guard and grip safety have 99% of the fiery case colors. The stocks and magazine are in the same near-new condition as the rest of the pistol. The carton is in very fine condition. Wear is limited to a small break in the cover on one corner of the lid and some minor flaking on the edges of the end label. The instruction sheet is in fine condition with minor fold marks and oil stains. This is an outstanding example of a nearly new Colt Model 1908 Hammerless Automatic Pistol with very fine original carton.
