This is an example of a Third Model 1890 slide action rifle that was manufactured in 1910. Dovetail front sight (bead missing) and adjustable notch rear sight. The top barrel flat has the two line address/patent date marking followed by "MOD. 1890", with "22 SHORT" on the upper left flat at the breech. The upper tang has the three line trademark information, with the serial number on the lower tang and frame.

Very fine. The barrel and magazine retain 75% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina with bright slide wear. The frame retains approximately 70% blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina with some minor scratches and a smooth gray patina on the tangs. The buttplate and slide bar have a mixed gray patina. There is some scattered light spotting and limited pin point pitting. The forearm is excellent with a few minor handling marks and a small absent chip along the grain. The buttstock is very fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
