Description:

Probably Middle Eastern in origin. Damascus blade, measuring 6 1/2" long, with a 2" ricasso leading to the blade doubling in thickness and splitting into 3 diamond profile prongs, each following an yataghan-style curve, with points. An inlaid gold border is present at the base of the blade, with the grip virtually covered in gold floral designs, with an unknown symbol in the center of each side and a flared pommel with gold nut. OAL: 10 3/4". Felt lined metal sheath, with a symbol on the left side and gold floral designs at the throat, tip and along the rear edge.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The Damascus patterns remains visible on the ricasso, with a smooth gray color overall. A dark brown patina is showing on the hilt, with a gray patina with areas of brown on the sheath. Some minor handling marks overall. Gold inlay is excellent.
