Most likely French in origin, with no markings save the serial number 11 on the rear face of cylinder, ejector housing, trigger and barrel lug, and "CSA" on top of the breech and on the right side of the frame. Brass wedge front and hammer groove rear sights, with smooth hammer and trigger, steel ejector rod, spring retained loading gate, smooth two piece grips and a lanyard ring.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with an attractive aged patina on the surface, a few dents and dings, and small areas of verdigris buildup. Grips are very good, with pressure dents. Mechanically excellent. This is undoubtedly a genuine Confederate marked all brass pinfire revolver that the estate notes was purchased at a Hoopeston (Illinois) Gun Show in 1964!
