Made from 1864 to 1870. Blade front and hammer notch rear sights, with "MOORE'S PAT. FIRE ARMS CO. BROOKLYN, N.Y." marked on top of the barrel and "D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JANUARY 5, 1864" on the rear of the cylinder. The cylinder is deeply acid etched, with a scene of a stag running through the woods on one half and an American Eagle with "E. PLURIBUS UNUM" banner on the other half. Scroll and punch dot engraved frame, with wavy border lines under the cylinder and burst patterns on the recoil shield. Smooth bird's head walnut grips. In a hardwood case with inlaid brass plate in the lid, red felt lining, 46-round cartridge block, 46 teatfire rounds and a paper label reading "Lieut. Kerry Sandes" in script.

Rating Definition:

Very good as period replated, showing 97% of the nickel, with some light flaking near the breech and mild dings overall. A small amount of material has been polished away near the side plate. Grips are good, with pressure dents and varnish loss. Mechanically very good. Case is very fine, with a loose hinge, light pressure dents and felt wear.
