Inspector initial "H" is found the left side of the barrel just to the right of the wedge screw, "E" on the right side, "H" on the front portion of the cylinder and "E" on the rebated portion, "F" behind the trigger guard bow and "T" on top of the backstrap. Matching serial number on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, and backstrap and partial number "7965" on the cylinder, wedge and arbor pin. Fitted with a smooth walnut grip stamped with legible boxed cartouche on the left side and boxed "JT" on the right side.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. The revolver has a smooth mottled gray patina with strong traces of the original blue finish in recessed areas of the barrel lug. There is some battering on the barrel lug around the wedge and a few minor dents in the cylinder. The trigger guard has an aged patina with a orange tint on the forward portion. The grips are also very good with a moderate chip on the right toe and a small chip on the left toe, otherwise there is some lower edge wear, most of the open grain remaining and a few minor dings. The left side cartouche is faint and the right side clear. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent.
