Manufactured from 1917 to 1925. The barrel is marked "COLT DA 45" on the left side, the top has the two line Hartford address/patent dates and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. The left side of the frame has the Rampant Colt and an eagle/S20 proof. Matching serial number on frame, crane and inside of each grip panel. Smooth walnut grips, with "U.S. / ARMY/ MODEL / 1917/ No / 146 / 736" and a lanyard ring on the butt.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original finish with some minor muzzle wear and light scratches on the barrel. Overall there is some light scattered spotting. With the exception of a minor hairline crack on the right heel, the grips are excellent with scattered minor dings and dents. Crisp clear markings. The action is excellent.
