Using a piston driven gas system and a 10 round magazine, the Model 1938 Tokarev SVT was the Soviet Union's answer to the American Garand, and was popular both with the Soviets and the Germans who could successfully loot one. Hooded pin front and tangent rear sights, with "star/ 1940" on top of the receiver. Fitted with a 12-slot flash hider and a cleaning rod running along the right side of the stock. Matching numbers on the receiver, bolt and stock. Magazine is mismatched. Smooth straight grip stock, with wood and metal vented handguard, brown leather and green canvas sling, "arrow in star/ 1940" stamped on the right side of the buttstock and a flat metal buttplate. With a 9 3/4" knife bayonet with smooth wood grips and a metal sheath.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina and mild handling marks. Stock is good, with some chips around the cleaning rod, scratches and pressure dents. Sling shows some fading and wear, and the bayonet is very good. Mechanically excellent.
