The left side of the slide is marked "P. BERETTA-CAL. 7.65-BREVETTATA / GARDONE V.T. 1944" (correctly without the Italian Fascist date). The left grip tang has the Brescia crown/lion proof and the right side of the trigger guard has a boxed "MA". The pistol has the "4UT" marking. The backstrap is marked with a spurious eagle/swastika enclosed in a diamond marking. Standard plastic "PB" emblem grips.

Refinished. The pistol retains 95% high polished reblue finish with some minor edge wear and a smooth plum patina on the grip straps. The grips are excellent with the exception of some minor scratches (mostly on the bottoms).

The two line Beretta legend is stamped on the left side of the slide with the date "1944" (correctly without the Italian Fascist date). A Brescia crown/lion proof is stamped on the left grip tang, with a box "MA" stamped on the right side of the trigger guard. Standard "PB" emblem plastic grips. AA suffix serial numbered Model 1934 pistols are reported by company correspondence to have been produced for the German occupation forces.

Excellent. The slide retains 99% of the original high polished blue finish with some scattered light surface rust. The frame retains 98% of the original blue finish with some scattered light spotting. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
