This is an exceptional near mint example of a prewar Mauser contract rifle manufactured for the government of Argentina. Blade and tangent sights, with the Argentine crest on top of the receiver ring, "MAUSER MODELO/ ARGENTINO 1909." on the left, and the DWM address on the sidewall. The rear sight has a small Argentine Navy "anchor" proof. Smooth stock numbered to match the gun, with the Argentinean Seal on the right side of the buttstock, and a few other small stamps. Excellent, with 98% of the original blue finish, showing a few small dings on the barrel and light spotting on the barrel bands. Some mild handling marks are visible on the bright parts. Stock is very good, with a scuff on the left side of the forearm and a few other light scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent.
