This is a nice representative example of a Brazilian contract Model 1908 rifle. The front receiver ring is marked with the Brazilian crest on top, "MOD. 1908." on the right side and a "B", serial number circled "B" on the left side. The left receiver wall is marked "DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND / MUNITIONSFABRIKEN. BERLIN". Ramped blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. Bright front barrel band, bolt assembly and receiver with the remaining parts blue. Mounted on a one piece walnut pistol grip stock with matching handguard, white painted "191" on the left rear and the six pointed star DWM (Loewe) cartouche on the right rear. Complete with a bayonet with smooth wood handle and leather scabbard with brass throat and tip, leather sling, cleaning rod and front sight/muzzle cover.

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% original blue finish with a number of small scratches on top of the barrel directly behind the front band. The receiver, front barrel band and bolt assembly retain almost all of the bright finish with some "frosting" on the band and a small amount of discoloration on the bolt and receiver. The stock is very fine with a number of small dings on the left side at the receiver and overall a few minor dents and scratches. The sling, bayonet and scabbard are all very fine.
