This is an example of a late war factory unserialized (never was!) P 38 pistol with a Walther frame and Mauser slide. The left side of the slide is marked "P.38" followed by "byf / 44", and right side is marked with a "eagle / WaA 135" and firing proof, and the left side of the slide is marked with an "eagle / 359" inspection proof followed by "ac". There are no other visible or internal markings. The magazine is marked "P38" on the bottom left and the pistol is fitted with reddish brown Bakelite grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The slide and barrel retain 98% original finish with some minor wear, light spotting and minor scratches on the top of the slide. The frame has the late war purplish tint of which 95% plus remains with some thinning on the frontstrap. The grips are excellent with a few minor nicks and dings. The markings are crisp and clear. The mechanics are excellent.
