Westley Richards side lever single shot falling block action fitted to a custom barrel marked "HARLAN G. HOWE W. HMPSTD, N.Y." in gold. The barrel was manufactured without sights and the rifle is equipped with a Leupold 3x9 Vari-XII scope with Buehler mounts. Fitted with a jeweled breech block. Mounted on a nicely figured walnut pistol grip stock with rosewood forend cap and grip cap with silver diamond insert, fancy bordered Fleur de Lis checkering, raised shadow-line cheekpiece and checkered metal buttplate.

Custom restocked and partially refinished. The receiver retains most of the custom rust blue finish with a few minor scratches and some finished over pitting. 98% blue on the barrel, with a gray patina forming at the muzzle. Excellent stock, with a few minor dings, light nicks on the otherwise sharp checkering and some minor scratches. Optics are very good, and the action is excellent.
