Double triggers, with a carved horn handrest mounted to the trigger guard and lower tang. Checkered straight grip stock, with sling mounts, raised cheekpiece, raised scroll engraving around the wrist, flat buttplate numbered "9088", and scroll bordered carved woodland scenes, with a pair of doe deer on the right and a successful bird hunter and his dog on the left. Length of pull is 13 3/4".

Rating Definition:

Fine as partially refinished, with 80% of the brown period finish on the barrel, showing a few light spots and strong and deep Damascus etching. There is an area of heat browning on top of the barrels at the rear. The frame and locks are fine, with a smooth mixed gray patina overall, light brown spotting on the frame, and light handling marks. Stock is very good as refinished, with mended chips on either side of the upper tang, a chip on the right side of the forearm, varnish loss on the cheekpiece, some small cracks at the butt and a few scratches and pressure dents overall. Mechanically excellent.
