Single bead sight on a concave rib, with twist steel barrels, cylinder chokes and gold inlaid scrollwork and script writing on each barrel (writer cannot decipher the aforementioned inscription). Each lock plate is engraved with scroll designs and marked "LEBEL ARQ.ER A MONTEREAU" along the bottom, with "LEBEL/A MONTEREAU" between the nipples. Checkered straight grip stock, with engraved tip and trigger guard, brass tipped ramrod, sling swivel and a flat buttplate. A metal hinge is present in the center of the wrist, folding to the right with a spring loaded latch button on the left. Length when folded is 27 1/2", length of pull is 14".

Very good, with a strong brown color on the barrels and well defined twist pattern. Scattered pitting overall, with dents on the muzzles and a crack in the right barrel towards the breech. Traces of the original case pattern remain on the locks, with light handling marks. Stock is fair, with replaced contoured sections in the right side of the stock to accommodate the hammer and frizzen, along with scattered handling marks and crude recheckering of the replaced wrist section. Mechanically fine.
