Manufactured in 1902. The sight safety slide has been converted to a fixed notch rear sight configuration and has front grip serrations. The right side of the slide is roll-stamped "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" ahead of the ejection port. The left side of the slide is roll-stamped "BROWNINGS PATENT" / PAT'D APRIL 20. 1897" followed by "COLT'S PATENT FIRE ARMS MFG. CO. / HARTFORD. CONN. U.S.A." with the circled Rampant Colt. Magazine base has the 1884 patent date. Fitted with smooth replacement walnut grips.
