Japanese "meatball/ sun disc" pattern battle flag, linen construction measuring 35 1/2" wide and 27" tall, with a 13 3/4" red disc and a pair of silk cords at the side corners with gold colored leather tabs. A set of 5 untranslated symbols have been added with black ink. Set into a gold painted frame with black matting.

Very good, showing some light staining overall, sun fading to the disc and minor edge fraying. Frame shows light wear.
