Description:

1) Black leather cartridge box marked "J. DAVY & CO. / NEWARK N.J.". 2) black leather cartridge pouch marked "E. GAYLORD / CHICOPEE / MASS." on inside flap. 3) "US" embossed black leather cartridge box with canvas cartridge loops on a leather belt with oval "US" buckle. 4) socket bayonet with 22 inch blade and marked "1802". 5) European bayonet with a 20 1/2 inch spike blade and marked with a pair of crown/letter proofs and "Z18". 6) Brass capper marked "J S / IMPROVED". 7) 54 caliber, two cavity (round, conical) Colt iron bullet mold with wooden handles, sprue cutter marked "COLTS / PATENT".

Rating Definition:

1)-5) The leather items are good to very good with moderate flex wear. The Davy cartridge box has some moderate flaking, the "US" embossed box has some minor handling marks and the cartridge pouch has a broken belt loop. The bayonets are very good with a mixed bright gray patina with some minor pitting. 6) Is fine with a mixed aged patina and hand inscribed markings on top and bottom ("BOUGHT AT CHICAGO 1833" and PHIL[illegible] 1833. 7) Is fair with an even dark patina and even moderate pitting. The handles have some minor handling marks, with a minor crack on the left handle.
