Winchester Model 1895 Carbine manufactured in 1920. This carbine has a high polish commercial blue finish on the barrel, receiver, loading lever, hammer and buttplate. The walnut stock, and military style handguard and forearm have a low-luster varnish finish. The carbine has buttplate with sliding steel trap, a sling ring on the left side of receiver and a military style, folding, rear sight. The original, yellow cardboard Winchester factory hang tag is attached to the loading lever. The hang tag lists the carbine serial number, model and style, barrel length, caliber, serial number and assembly date. The top of the receiver is stamped with the oval Winchester "W/P" proofmark above ".30/ARMY". The elongated, Winchester, two-line legend and patent dates are roll-stamped on the left side of the receiver. The serial number, "401979", is located on the underside of the receiver tang. The upper receiver tang is roll-stamped: "MODEL 1895 / -WINCHESTER- / TRADE MARK REG.U.S. PAT OFF & FGN." in three lines.

Near new. The carbine is in new condition with dried packing grease on some components. Finish wear is limited to some very minor loading lever scuff marks on the left side of the magazine. The walnut stock, forearm and handguard are in new condition. The markings are perfect, The hanging tag is in fine condition. This is a nearly new example of a Winchester Model 1895 Carbine.
