Manufactured in 1922. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the two line address/patent marking on top of the barrel, "COLT / ARMY / SPECIAL / 38" on the left side, Rampant Colt and "VP" proof on the left side of the frame. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in an oval at the top

Very fine. The revolver retains 80% original finish with wear on the muzzle, thinning to brown on the right rear of the frame and front strap, and a smooth mottled gray patina on the backstrap. The grips are excellent with several minor dings on the lower right side edge, minor overall handling marks and crisp checkering. Crisp and clear markings. The action is excellent.

Manufactured in 1936. Standard two-line Colt Hartford address/patent barrel marking "COLT OFFICIAL/ POLICE .38" on the left side with the Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. Fitted with checkered grips with silver Colt medallions.

Very fine. The revolver retains 95% plus original finish with some wear and thinning on the muzzle and some high edge wear on the frame and cylinder. There is a small amount of very light spotting on the cylinder. The grips have been refurbished with a coat of varnish and remain excellent with light handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
