Description:

Dated "1915" on the chamber and marked "DWM" on the toggle. The serial number is marked on the left side of the extension, front of the frame and on the bottom of the barrel, with matching partial numbers on the latch, side plate, trigger, sear safety components, hold open, toggle links, extractor, breechblock and firing pin. Bore diameter is marked on the barrel, with the extension marked with three "crown / script letter" and Imperial Eagle proofmarks. The Imperial Eagle proof repeated on the breechblock and barrel. The upper safety position and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. Small components are straw colored and the sear spring and screws are niter blue. Checkered walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing a bright gray patina on the extension ahead of the sideplate, the muzzle and along the high edges, a brown patina on top of the chamber and on the rear, and some mild spotting and light handling marks overall. 70% of the original straw colors remain. Grips are fine, with light pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
