Single nickel bead sight, with "Jos Butler & Co CHICAGO, ILLS - FINE LAMINATED STEEL" on the rib, engraving at the breech, 2 3/4" chambers and chokes measuring Cylinder. Lock plates and frame are scroll engraved, with Butler markings and game scenes on each lock plate, double triggers, checkered hammers and lever mounted ahead of the trigger guard. The water table shows London proofs and the Purdey patent marking. Checkered pistol grip stock, with engraved forearm tip and escutcheons, engraved grip cap, "W.F.M." inscribed plate on the underside and an engraved skeleton buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/8". With a note from a previous owner, with information on the arm.

Fine. A string twist finish is visible on the barrels, with scattered dings and pitting at the breech. Strong traces of bright case color are visible in the protected areas of the locks and frame, with a mixed gray on the remainder. Wood is fine, with mild dings and scratches, along with fine grain. Mechanically fine.
