A high quality Liege Lebeau Courally box lock, side-by-side shotgun with double triggers and straight, English style stock and splinter forend. The barrels are blued and have a raised, matted, rib with a silver bead. The receiver and trigger guard are finished bright and engraved with restrained English style scrollwork. The stock and forend are straight-grain European walnut with flat-checkered panels and a low-luster oil finish. The stock has a black hard rubber serrated buttplate and an oval silver monogram inlaid ahead of the buttplate. The top of the right barrel is marked: "AUG. LEBEAU - COURALLY - FTA LIEGE" in a single line. The top of the left barrel is marked: SANDERSON DISTRIBUTORS/MADE IN BELGIUM" in two lines. The underside of the barrel rib is stamped with the serial number "43882" and both barrels are stamped with Liege proofmarks, the gauge and a */S choke marking. The serial number is also located on the inside of the forend, the inside of the receiver and on the lower receiver tang.

Excellent. The barrels retain approximately 97% of the original blue finish with some minor edge wear at the muzzle. The polished steel receiver, trigger guard, barrel latch and receiver tangs are bright with sharp engraving. There is some very minor finish wear on the lower receiver tang. The stock and forend are in excellent condition with only very minor handling wear. The Lebeau Courally company has made more guns for royalty than any other gunmaker. This is an excellent example of a high grade, engraved, Lebeau Courally 28 gauge, side-by-side shotgun.
