Single ivory bead sight on the unmarked matte vent rib, 3" chambers, the barrels gauge at extra full/full with ejectors. The receiver and forearm hardware are silver gray and the remaining parts blue. The receiver is engraved with scroll designs and the sides have relief engraved wooded game bird scenes. The bottom of the receiver is marked "SUHL". The rear left side of the barrels is marked "GEBR. MERKEL SUHL / MADE IN GDR". Kersten cross bolt, modified Anson & Deely box lock action, cocking indicators, manual tang mounted safety, double triggers and mounted with a checkered forearm and attractive straight grain pistol grip stock with a plastic grip cap, cheek piece, checkered black plastic buttplate and sling swivels. Length of pull is 14 3/8".

Excellent. The shotgun retains 99% plus original blue finish with light handling marks. The receiver has darkened a bit with age. The wood is also excellent with only a couple of light handling marks. The engraving is sharp. Mechanically excellent.
