An exceptional example of a U.S. Winchester M1 carbine in totally original and extraordinary condition. Blade front and two leaf folding rear sight, with Winchester marked barrel, Type I barrel band, standard receiver markings, blue finished flat bolt, "W" marked recoil plate, milled trigger guard, "EW" marked button safety and "W" magazine release. Smooth low wood stock with 2-rivet handguard, oval oiler cut, "W.R.A. / G.H.D." and the Ordnance escutcheon on the right side of the butt, green canvas sling and a checkered buttplate.

Excellent plus, with 99% of the original Winchester parkerized finish and 98% bright original blue on the bolt. Punch-marks on the top of the bolt and receiver have bright edges. The butt plate screw has the correct blue finish. The stock and handguard are in near mint condition. The wood is excellent plus, untouched with proper raised grain. Mechanically excellent.
