This is a fairly scarce variation of Sedgley rifle; in that it started as a 1903 RIA rifle with the original barrel that was only modified and fitted with a 1917 Enfield trigger guard and floor plate, and subsequently refinished by Sedgley. These rifles were primarily sold by Bannerman in the 20s and 30s. It has the original blade front and folding ladder rear sights, with "U.S." on the sight cover, Rock Island barrel dated "10-18", and faded markings on the receiver ring. Smooth straight grip stock, with grooved forearm, Model 1917 trigger guard, sling swivels, 1917 dated leather sling and a two bolt finger groove buttstock.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, showing 98% Sedgley blue finish as applied by Sedgley, with bright edges and scattered handling marks. Stock is excellent, with some scratches and dents. Safety needs adjustment, otherwise mechanically very good.
