This is an extremely rare Randall Miniature Model 12 Bear Bowie knife. The blade is 3 3/8 inches long etched with the W.D. Randall signature and marked with the two line scimitar flanked Randall address. Curved guard with whale tooth handle. In the included photocopied Stidham's Knives letter, Randall shop foreman Pete Hamilton states that there were fewer than 20 miniature Bear Bowies produced and that this knife is probably the only example with a whale tooth handle. OAL: 7 1/2".

Excellent, with some scattered mild scratches overall and a couple minor age cracks on the tooth. The tooth has an attractive aged color.
