Handcrafted, engraved, and scrimshawed by Gary R. Blanchard, this dagger features a 5 3/8 inch blade. Both sides of the ricasso feature a leaf engraving. The leaf engraving along with scalloped edge accents extends to the oval guard and pommel. The spacer between the guard and handle is marked "G.R. BLANCHARD" on one side and "MAKER / ENG. / 9" on the other side. Ivory handle with an insert of a nicely figured hardwood. The ivory has an exquisite scrimshawed zebra head with black highlights. OAL: 9 1/2". Gary R. Blanchard started in the knife making business as a scrimshander in the 1977 and by the early 1980s was engraving knives in his on unique style and handcrafting his own knives. Today, Blanchard continues to design and fabricate custom knives.

Excellent, with some scattered light spotting on the blade and some scattered light handling marks overall. The ivory has a nice grain pattern.
