Description:

This is an excellent example of a Buster Warenski dagger that is engraved and gold inlaid by his wife. For those in the custom knife making industry Buster Warenski needs no introduction. He was one of the greatest knifemakers of the last century, creating some of the most sought-after and most expensive knives in the world. Buster Warenski passed away on July 31, 2005. This Warenski dagger features a 5 7/8 inch polished blade marked "B. WARENSKI / RICHFIELD, UT." The dagger has gold inlaid and engraved blue finished steel fittings signed by the engraver ("JW") Julie Warenski, Buster Warenski's wife. The diamond shaped guard features a gold inlaid floral scroll pattern, with the remaining fittings featuring a floral scroll engraving accented with gold inlaid double bands. The fluted ivory handle is adorned with twisted gold wire. OAL: 10 1/2". The dagger is furnished with a leather sheath. The silver throat, tip, and carrying stud of the sheath feature a scroll engraving.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with extremely limited light spotting on the blade. The ivory has a few hairline age cracks, with a nice grain pattern. The sheath has some light scratches on the throat and tip.
