Description:

Introduced in February of 1938, the German Motorsports Badge was awarded to German race drivers in recognition of victories at home and abroad. Using a point system which favored wins in international competition, it would take 5 international wins, 6 long distance rally wins, 6 national wins, or a combination thereof to receive the bronze badge. Measuring 1 9/10" wide and tall, with an eagle holding a tire, a swastika in the background and a wreath. Marked "LN/ 1790/ GES. GESCH." on the rear below the clasp.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with a fine aged patina overall, darker in the protected areas and on the arms of the swastika. A few deep scratches or casting imperfections are visible on the rear of the badge.
