Description:

The chamber is dated 1917, with the DWM monogram on the front toggle, crown and eagle proofs on the right side of the extension, and British Birmingham "crown/ BNP" proofs on the barrel, extension and frame. On the underside of the barrel is the two line British caliber, bore diameter and tonnage markings. Matching number on the barrel, extension and frame, and matching partial numbers on the latch, side plate, sear, safety components, trigger, hold-open, toggle links, extractor, breechblock and firing pin. Blue finished magazine with alloy base, numbered to match the gun. Grips are checkered.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing a gray patina on the rear and sides of the frame, around the muzzle and along the high edges, a mixed brown and gray on the grip straps, and scattered spotting and handling marks. Grips are also very fine, with light pressure dents. Hold-open needs adjustment, otherwise mechanically excellent.
