Made in Budapest for use by the Germans as a substitute rifle. Blade and tangent sights, with an "eagle/ 173" proof on the receiver ring. Matching numbers. Smooth stock, with "WaA173" stamps, matching number and a flat buttplate. With a brown leather sling and a "43asw" (Horter, Solingen) bayonet with 10" blade, ribbed plastic grips, metal sheath and leather frog.

Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing a brown patina on the barrel near the muzzle, gray on the trigger guard and floor plate, and minor spotting and handling marks overall. Stock is also excellent, with a number of scratches and dents. Sling is cracked and worn, frog and sheath are both good, and the bayonet is very good. Mechanically excellent.
