Description:

Blade is 8 1/2" in length, with a faint simulated temper line and a silver finished textured copper throat. The hilt and sheath are both carved bone with extensive raised designs, with the latter signed with a set of three symbols near the tip. The grip is carved with a wraparound woodland scene of a warrior grabbing a demon by the hair and sticking his knee in its neck while a second demon looks on, and a design of a monkey wearing a shirt and holding a peach on the pommel. The sheath is decorated with a scene of a man being assaulted in a market by a 3-eyed demon with a snake for a neck, with a number of onlookers with both human and animal heads, and raised cherry blossoms and birds in flight at the throat.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. Light spotting and handling marks are visible on the blade. Fittings are excellent, with superb detail in the carvings and attractive color overall.
