Smith & Wesson produced only 1,870 of these pistols from 1925 to 1936. This pistol features a patridge front sight and adjustable rear sight on ribbed barrel. Barrel marked "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side, one line address and patent date on top and "22 LONG RIFLE CTG" on the right. Right side of the receiver is marked "MADE IN U.S.A.". All markings are highlighted in white. An engraved zigzag vine pattern is on the top of the rib at the muzzle and breech, lower front strap and backstrap, heel, trigger guard bow and rear sides of the frame. The grips have been custom checkered with S&W medallions.

Refinished and lightly engraved with 95% plus finish remaining. There is some wear on the muzzle and thinning along the barrel, as well as a few small areas of minor pitting under the finish. The grips are fine as custom checkered with all of the revarnish remaining and a few minor dings and dents. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
