Manufactured in 1940, this revolver features a Marble front sight and adjustable rear sight. The right side of the frame is marked with the S&W logo and "MADE IN U.S.A.". Blue finish with casehardened hammer and trigger and fitted with smooth pearl grips with S&W medallions. The accompanying factory letter verifies the serial number, 4" barrel, blue finish, that it had checkered walnut grips when shipped and that it was shipped as a single gun to an individual in Huntington Beach, CA. on October 3, 1940.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% bright original high polish blue finish with some wear and thinning on the muzzle end of the barrel, a drag line on the cylinder and a few minor dings and scratches. The slightly undersized replacement grips are also excellent with some minor handling marks. The markings retain sharp. The action is excellent.
