This lot consists of two consecutively serialized Browning High Power semi-automatic pistols featuring an identical custom engraving by Master Engraver John J. Adams, Jr. Each pistol comes with a letter of authenticity on Adams & Adams letter head and dated January 22, 2003. The letters confirm the serial number, caliber, and barrel length and state that the pistol features a D coverage oakleaf and floral pattern with border engraving done by John J. Adams, Jr., blued and assembled by Turnbull, and ivory grips checkered by Dan Chesiak. The oak leaf engraving on a punch dot background covers 97% of the metal surfaces. The engraving surrounds the slide markings (FABRIQUE NATIONAL HERSTAL" on the left, "BROWNING S.A. / MADE IN BELGIUM" on the right) and the serial number on the front grip strap. The engraving extends to the magazine floor plate. Jeweled chamber serialized to gun and the backstrap is cut for a stock. Blade front and tangent rear sights. Fitted with checkered ivory grips. Each pistol comes with a Browning plastic case numbered to the gun, a box of Norma 9 mm luger cartridges, papers, and two extra magazines. Complete with a locking wooden presentation case lined in green fitted velvet.

Custom embellished and Turnbull refinished with all of the blue finish remaining and only the slightest handling marks. The wooden case is excellent with a few minor handling marks.
