Manufactured in 1923, with elevation adjustable blade front and windage adjustable rear sights, two line address/patent date marking on the top of the barrel and the left side marked "OFFICERS MODEL 38" flanked by Maltese crosses. The Rampant colt is marked on the left side plate and the front and rear top of the trigger guard are marked with the "VP" proof and "3" respectively Fitted with checkered grips with silver Colt medallions.

Excellent plus. The revolver retains 99% plus original finish with a few scattered minor dings and light scratches. With the exception of a minor chip on the right toe, the grips are excellent with light handling marks and sharp checkering. The markings are sharp. The action is excellent.
