Manufactured and factory engraved in 1978, the second year of 3rd Generation Single Action Army production. Standard markings on barrel, with one line address on top and "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" on the left side. Two line, three patent date marking on the left side of the frame, followed by the Rampant Colt and the trigger guard is marked with the "VP" triangle mark on the left side and "Q" on the right. Class "C" engraving coverage of floral scroll patterns on the barrel, frame, front half of the unfluted cylinder, trigger guard and backstrap. The top edge of the ejector housing and rear of the cylinder have a wavy line design. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, casehardened frame, with blue on the remaining parts, and fitted with two piece plastic American Eagle/Rampant Colt relief grips. The bottom of the frame, inside of each grip panel and the left side of the front and back straps have matching serial numbers. Complete with a gold lettered brown leatherette case with orange velvet lined interior.
