Standard short two line address on top of the barrel, "COLT SHERIFF'S MODEL" on the left side and "COLT SAA .44-.40" on the right side. Two line, three patent dates on the left side of the frame followed by the Rampant Colt. Back and front straps under the grip is marked with the matching serial number casehardened frame, blue remaining parts and fitted with two piece Rampant Colt / American eagle grips numbered to the gun.

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% of the original blue and casehardened finishes with some light spotting on the barrel, faint drag line on the cylinder and overall light handling marks. The grips are near new with only some very light wear on the bottom edges. Crisp and clear markings. Mechanically excellent.
