Description:

Pin front and notch rear sights, with gold and silver inlaid bands at the muzzle and breech, scroll and floral inlaid designs, and a set of 6 barrel bands, with two made of silver. Additional gold and silver scrollwork is present on the lock, with an engraved solid silver plate on the upper tang. Smooth straight grip stock, with extensive floral engraved silver overlaid coverage, including a large number of pierced scroll designs, a smooth plate on the tip and a solid engraved panel on the comb and around the buttstock.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with a deep brown color on the barrel, pitting around the touchhole, and some metal loss on the high points. Stock is very fine, with a few loose or absent sections, minor chips, and light pressure dents. Mechanically good. A truly exceptional miquelet musket!
