Blade front and fixed notch and peep sights, with a gold triple border around the muzzle, five silver barrel bands (one engraved), and inlaid gold patterns around the front sight and one the breech and tang, with the breech inlays integrating a pair of gold proof stamps. Further gold inlay is present on the lock fittings, with a knob trigger. Smooth straight grip stock, with an iron ramrod, a set of wedge escutcheons (wedges not included), extensive pierced through and engraved silver plate overlay, a silver band around the butt, and a solid 3 1/4" long, 1 7/10" thick ivory buttplate.

Very good, with strong traces of a Damascus pattern on the barrel, with spotting and a few areas of dark patina. A darker patina is present on the lock hardware, with the upper jaw absent from the hammer. Gold is strong, with a few small areas of flaking. A few cracks are present on the barrel bands. Stock is good, with an absent tip, minor cracks and pressure dents, and attractive grain. Ivory is fine, with a few small chips, minor age cracks and fine mixed color.
