This model was manufactured for the western trade in 1876-1891, and this example has the 1876-1881 J. M. Marlin marking.

Good overall with some fading original blue finish and dark patina on the balance, light oxidation, mild wear, cracks and repairs in the wood, and nice figure on the buttstock. Mechanically functions.
