Factory letter states revolver shipped on May 3, 1879 to M.W. Robinson Co. of New York City with 3 1/2" barrel, nickel finish, and black hard rubber grips. This shipment was for 50 guns. Includes a period hardwood case featuring an S&W directions label on the interior of the lid.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with original finish, limited flaking, crisp overall checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is good with an absent short side.
