Hex receiver manufactured c. 1891-1928, with an importer mark and partially retained "imperial eagle" crest. Chamber dated "1928". Original serial number "N 36643", with matching serial numbers on the bolt, magazine floor plate, and buttplate. Includes a non-matching numbered spike/socket bayonet.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, retaining most of the finish with some faint patches of pitting and light handling marks under the finish, some minor edge wear, dried arsenal grease in protected areas, and some minor handling marks. The stock is fine as arsenal sanded and re-varnished with a splice repair at the nose, some minor spots of chipped varnish, and some minor compression marks. Mechanically excellent.
