Manufactured c.1872-1888, and converted to a rimfire target pistol at an unknown date. Rocky Mountain blade front and dovetailed notch rear sights, casehardened frame, smooth forearm and grip. No military inspection marks visible.

Fine as converted, with patches of brown patina on the blued components, a fine straw finish to the hammer, strong case colors on the sides of the frame, spotting and wear. Wood is fair, with a crack in the forearm, a chip at the rear of the butt, dings, scuffs and varnish loss. Mechanically excellent.
