Bore Condition: The bore is partially darkened with crisp rifling.
Description:

Starr Arms Co. manufactured approximately 20,601 of these percussion carbines between 1862-1865 during the Civil War, according to "Flayderman's Guide" (9th Edition, 9B-098). Inspection initials on various components, with two cartouches stamped on the left stock wrist.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with much of the original finish, some areas turned to a smooth brown patina. Wood is also very good, with a large chipped absent section visible above the lock, a chipped absent section at the toe. The toe of the brass buttplate is bent. Mechanically excellent.
