Fowler is believed to be the work of a John Calvert from Leeds in Yorkshire starting from around 1797. "CALVERT/LEEDS" marked on the lock plate, "CALVERTS MAKERS", a fleur de lis, and "LEEDS" marked on the barrel.

Good overall with brown/grey patina, few spots of gold absent from the barrel, and pitting around the flash hole. Stock has scattered dings and cracks. Mechanically needs work.
