Mid-19th century rifle marked "A. F. SPENCER" on the lock and "A. F. SPENCER/WINSTED CT./CAST-STEEL" on the barrel between two federal eagle stamps. Cut for a false muzzle and equipped with a globe front sight and "lollipop" peep sight.

Good with gray and brown patina, light oxidation, repaired hammer, cracked toe, bent buttplate, and nice figure on the buttstock. Mechanically fine.
